Melissa Phillips is a Los Angeles based photographer working across documentary and editorial portraiture, as well as commercial assignments. She approaches difficult subjects with clear, dignified images and context, often challenging dominant narratives. Her commercial work centers mission-driven clients aligned with equity and representation.

Ongoing projects include long-term work in Haiti and collaborations with the Los Angeles Community Action Network (LA CAN) in Skid Row focused on housing and social justice. She photographs for magazines, cultural organizations and nonprofits. She works worldwide with small, mobile crews, on location or in-studio.
